Born in 1978 in Tonka, in the area of Tombouctou, in Mali, he lives and works in Bamako. After studies of social sciences, Harandane Dicko integrates the Training Centre in Photography of Bamako (CFP). In 2002, it carries out its first training course near newspaper Der Land Bote in Winterthur then other residences in 2006 in Zentrum für Kulturproduktion PROGR in Bern and in 2007 in the Center of Vocational training CEPV of Veyey, in Switzerland. In 2008, it carries out a three month old residence in the International City of Arts of Paris, but also takes part in the international residence organized by Afriqueinvisu in Métive in 2008. It in addition carried out reports for the Foundation of France, the UNICEF, the Union European, the UNDP and to cover several Festivals in Mali and abroad.

Harandane Dicko took part in several exposures individual and collective in Mali (in particular with 6th, 7th and OFF of the 8th African Meetings of the Photography of Bamako) and abroad (in particular with the festival “Visage Francophone” of Cahors, with the Library François Mitterrand in Paris, biennial of Fès 2008 in Morocco, with IFA Gallery in Berlin and Stuttgart) with the Panafricain festival of Algiers 2009, the theatre the Quay of Angers . He is prize winner of the program visas for creation 2008 of Culturesfrance and prize winner of the 1st price of the first photo Africa contest organized by the Center Andalusian of photography and the African cinema festival of Tariffed in Spain.
